The Design, Development & Delivery Process
"We believe creating the perfect design for your business is a collaborative process."
01. Design Brief
It can be daunting to know how to begin your project. While we always prefer to have a face to face chat or phone call with you, we understand it is not always possible. We can provide you with a questionnaire which has been designed to gain an understanding of your target audience, competitors, business goals and industry.
Based on your responses we will create a design brief outlining your requirements and the deliverables you will receive.
Once the design brief has been approved, you will be required to sign a contract and pay your deposit before moving into the ‘Discovery’ stage of our process.
One of the most important parts of the design process is the research and discovery phase.
Once your design brief is approved, we can begin further research into your company, its competition and develop a further understanding of your target audience.
This is a collaborative process where we will ask you further questions to determine the best direction for your project. This will include ‘stylescapes’ of inspiration pieces such as colour, typefaces, and imagery which reflect your company.
03. Creative Design & Drafting
Once we have gathered all the relevant information surrounding your company and have a clear direction from our discovery phase, we will begin to brainstorm ideas and concepts on paper.
This is a free flowing and creative process where we will explore as many ideas as possible to generate a set of unique concepts for further development.
The next stage of the ideation and design process is to fine tune and transfer the collective ideas into a number of clear concepts to be presented. This stage involves recreating the designs digitally where they can be displayed across all devices.
04. Presentation & Refinement
Once developed, we will provide a document showing each concept with supporting notes explaining the thought process behind the designs. We do prefer to hold the presentation in person or via video chat where possible as this will allow for open discussion and give us the opportunity to answer any questions as required.
The presentation will include mockup examples of the design(s) in a variety of settings to help visualise how they will look in real life scenarios. This may include examples such as a business card, clothing, signage, social media, vehicle graphics and more.
At this stage you will have the opportunity to discuss any refinements you require before final approval.
05. Delivery & Support
Once your design has been chosen your final balance payment will be required. Once received we will package all required design files and transfer full copyright of the final chosen design to you.
For branding packages, you will receive files suitable for both print and digital applications in a variety of file formats including rasterised and vector. You will also be provided with a branding style guide outlining correct usage to get the most out of your branding.
(If you require a comprehensive style guide for your branding, please contact us directly for further information).
We can also assist you with a wide variety of ongoing design services including stationery, brochures, marketing material, social media and web design to ensure the best possible continuity of your branding.
